The Kinataro-Ame steel is achieved through a process of three different
metals welded, heated, forged, hammered, folded, shaped and ground. This material is hard and very tough. This knife can be used for various wood crafts as well as plant grafting and Bonsai care too.
It is great for making small wooden parts for furniture, toys, or really anything made of wood. Violin makers in Germany are now using the Kiridashi knives in their craft with great success, understanding that Japanese blades are the highest quality available. We are now teaching them our techniques.
