| Flattening your water stones |
| These fixing water stones are not for sharpening knives. These stones have large grooves and are used for flattening your sharpening
water stones. The major drawback of using water stones as a sharpening method is that they need to be flattened periodically. The fixing stone is designed to make this process quite a bit easier. To use this method, simply rub a well-soaked water stone on the flattening stone, then rinse away the slurry.
